My creative side is lacking though, which I would like to broaden .

Hi Maria,

I have just opened a group called "Women of a certain age." although it is not exclusive. It is a chance to share your hopes and dreams, your struggles, your plans and offer encouragement. What have you achieved? What would you like to achieve? Please feel free to join in.

Hi Maria,

I so enjoyed your touching comment on Gilly's profile.  What a lovely thing for your daughter to do for you while you were going through such a difficult time.  I hope things are alittle calmer around your house now.  I know many in the health care profession, and it is a very noble employment that is highly underappreciated.  Take care and have a great day.  Loni

Hello Maria,

Wow! It sounds like you have been through a lot in the last year or so. I am so happy that your husband came through his operation ok and I hear that this was a difficult time for you all. Your daughter sounds lovely and caring and meditation is probably just what you needed to do to help get you through.
I can identify with a lot of what you said about children flying the nest and the rebirth of your husband and your relationship. I am now in my late 50's and as I didn't start having children until I was 30, they are all still in their twenties.(just) My eldest son works in Paris and we get to see him some weekends, but I miss him. My other two are still at home and I think that has a lot to do with the current economical situation, where they cannot afford to live away or purchase their own property. (Soooo expensive!) We have two cats as well and hubby and I still work (no option really).  Yes we seemed to have grown into each other over the years. All the ups and downs either draw you closer together or pull you apart. I am happy and proud and love my family very much and it's a pleasure to read that you do too.

Gilly xx

Thank you Maria, for the message you left on my page. It sounds as if you have made it your life's purpose to be positive and thankful and these are good things to have. I believe we are all spiritual beings as well as human beings and we all have a purpose in this life. Life has it's dips and turns, it's ups and downs. We can find peace in many things, in nature, our families, our work, relaxation, our friends, but I believe it is the peace we make with ourselves that is so important. Sometimes this is hard and other times it is not, but always believe that you are being held in the loving arms of God or spirit.
