Renovation on a farm house originally built in 1906, the work on a new art collection for a fall showing, helping a community arts council redesign and redirect their brand identity, teaching digital painting through several venues, my daily painting blog, studying BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu

Digital and traditional painting, studying BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu, writing poetry, dancing, the art of placement and working with color, entertaining, traveling, hiking, walking in the woods, the arts, great food (especially exotic, gourmet), time spent with philosophical and interesting people, listening to water, classical and new age music, sitting in quiet for hours

ASPCA: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
ArtsUSA: Americans for the Arts (arts and culture through private and public resource development.)
Soul Food Cafe: Worldwide community blog encouraging artists and writers in the discipline of daily writing or producing art.
Conservation International: protecting biological diversity and raising the collective voice for conservation.

A Trail Through Leaves: The Journal as a Path to Place
Art & Wonder: An Illustrated Anthology of Visionary Poetry by Kate Farrell
Living Wabi Sabi:The True Beauty of Your Life by Taro Gold
The Pillow Bppl pf Sei Shonagon by Arthur Waley
BaZi The Destiny Code by Joey Yap
Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman

Don't really have favorites. I prefer classical, instrumental, and some new age.

Don't have favorites because there are too many that I genuinely like. My taste in movies is eclectic--from independent film to foreign film, I enjoy romance, comedy, drama, documentary, suspense, etc.

Primal Play, romantic poetry for the bedroom, 1994 (out of print)
A Sanctuary of Stillness, book of art and poetry, (releasing in fall 2008)

"Creating art is a natural expression of my soul's deeper calling. Each creation is a distinct note from an inner well of stillness, beauty and grace that is the essence of who I am."

“The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.” Albert Einstein
"A happy life must be to a great extent a quiet life, for it is only in an atmosphere of quiet that true joy dare live” Bertrand Russell
“The good and the wise lead quiet lives.” Euripides

I live a quiet life in the country with most of my days spent painting, studying/reading, nature walks, and writing poetry.
Recently, I began the indepth study of BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) and Zi Wei Dou Shu. The first thing I learned from my own chart calculation was that I was born under a Creative Star and that I am here to create beauty through artistic endeavors. Ha! You think I would have figured this out before my mid 50's ;-)

My purpose is to create art and poetry, embracing the stillness, beauty and grace existing in all things.

Hi Genece,

I'm new to SL and have a tecnical question. How can I get the information in my profile boxes to show as a list that is stacked on top of each other instead of one long run on sentence? I've tried putting a return at the end of each line, and shift/return...but they always un-stack and run together once I save the info. Help!

Dear Genece, Thank you for sharing the poem!! I have a beautiful quote that is in my faves book about poetry I want to pass it on to you:"Poetry is the most concentrated form of literature; it is the most emotionalized and powerful way in which thought can be presented." quote by Amy Lowell 1917    she really sums it up for me.  ENJOY!!  Lindy

Dear Genece,   Your art gallery is very exquisite and I am so drawn to the painting called "standing".  Do you have a poem to share that goes with this painting? I am hoping you will post it in Group.    Kindest Regards, Lindy

Dear Genece,   Visiting here on your profile page is like visiting a traveling art exhibit.  I thoroughly enjoy the way art works speak to me in that still small voice and sense of intuitive spirit.    Thank you for sharing your gifts.     Kindest Regards,  Lindy
