Jane ~ Here is the recipe for Butterscotch Fantastic.

Your Dahl sounds delicious also.  DH and I really like lentils.  Do you have a recipe for how much spices you use?

Butterscotch Fantastic

1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 c. sifted powedered sugar
1 (8 oz) container cool-whip
2 (3 3/4 oz) pkgs butterscotch instant pudding mix
3 c. milk

Combine first 3 ingredients, mixing well.  Press four mixture into a 13x9x2" baking pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes; let cool completely.

Combine cream cheese and sugar, beating until fluffy, fold in 2 c. cool-whip.  Spread over Crust.

Combine pudding mis and milk; beat 2 min at medium speed of electric mixer.  Spread over cream cheese layer.  Spread remaining cool-whip over pudding layer.  Chill thoroughly.  Yield: 15 servings.

This really is fantastic.
I've also made it using pistachio instant pudding, equally great!

Oh thank you!  Can't wait to try that......my son loves butterscotch.

I have made dahl for so many years I don't really follow a recipe - but I guess I use about a teaspoon of coriander and turmeric and maybe a little more or less on the chilli depending on  how hot it is and who I'm making it for.  Sometimes I add some ginger too - again about a teaspoon of dried or an inch of fresh....lots of garlic of course...four or five cloves.

Thanks Jane.  I will be getting some more lentils soon and plan to make dahl.

My favorite food is Pad Kee Mow with a side of peanut sauce and tofu!! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this stuff is....I have to have it least once a week. Massaman curry is delicious too.
