Today is a new day, let me rejoice and be glad in it.

One thing that can get me going soulfully each day, is watching the butterflies. I can see them out the window over the sink in the 'scullery', that looks into our secret garden. They make my heart feel light.

Here is a piece I wrote about how they make me feel.  (I am an amateur writer, who mainly writes pieces to my DH. I have been keeping a journal for years and years though and enjoy writing.)

Oh how I love to watch the butterflies.

Flitting about on wings powered by the sun's warm rays.

From flower to flower by the hour,

they sip the nectar that sustains them in their flight.

God says,

Take heed my child, as you watch these 'flying flowers'.

See how they gently, unfearingly go about their way.

They are in my care,

as you are,

even 'more' than they.

I just came back from a time in the high desert of Arizona.  I was surprized to see so many butterflies in such a harsh climate.  So delicate and yet so hardy - doing their work of pollinating the desert blooms with such graceful beauty.

A true metaphor for the spirit within!

Good morning Peg ~ Butterflies are so amazing. I bet you were inspired by all the beauty surrounding you in your trip to the high desert.

There is an organic nursery near my home and whenever I visit there the flowers are always full of butterflies.  All I need to do is to extend my arm over the flowers and they land on me.  It's a wonderful feeling.             &nb sp;                         &nb sp;
