While Reading the Forum titles I was remaining mindful of all the facets of spiritual growth. Many new visions started to spark ideas within me. The mindfulness path that I am taking is part meditation practice and part a way of soulful living in each of the ordinary activities of my day. For instance, mindful eating, mindful parenting, mindful neighboring, mindful listening, and mindful driving. I am seeking to become more mindful in my gardening techniques. I want to make the best choice for the soil and environment I am cultivating in my own yard. It has been a challenge to become more GREEN. I try to recycle, reuse, and not use more than my share of our resources.(like water) I hope to be able to get acquainted with others who are on this similar path to organic eating and growing. Kindest Regards, Lindy

Mindfulness meditation practice is becoming longer each day. I am studying a book to create a walking meditation path. Although near me is a labyrinth created in a spirituality center in a wooded area that is open to the public. I have always wanted to paint or create my own and walk the path during a meditation. I have been told they can be painted on large folding canvas as big as a gymnasium or even used with colored lighting patterns on an open outdoor area. Many visions of designs have been coming to me. I will paint it first on canvas and then get larger and larger until I am able to walk the labyrinth with mindfulness meditation. There are many experiences available I hope that you will feel free to share how this is working in your own life. Kindest Regards, Lindy

In Zen practices, one concentrates on the breath. The current breath exists only in the Now and we can only "Be" in the Now. Each Now is precious and must be honored with full awareness. That said, I'm trying to do that and am failing miserably. There are a few times and those are times of great contentment.

Dear Peg, Thanks for sharing your practice here in the mindfulness forum. The practice of repeating this blissful state often eludes us. My early wisdom teacher on breathing encouraged me to practice 30 minutes daily. It is in the daily commitment to practice that I was most successful in the integration of the mind and body. Calling upon the calm was instantaneous. During the summer I am on an irregular schedule with travel. "The Practice" is calling me back to a regular schedule of thirty minutes. I do not feel I have failed at the practice, but my body and mind connection is missing the benefits. I remind myself each day is a new day... Kind regards, Lindy

My latest book recommendation is by author Hari Kaur Khalsa titled: A WOMAN's BOOK of MEDItation DISCOVERING THE POWER OF A PEACEFUL MIND. The copyright is 2006. This guides a woman's daily events and gives very specific suggestions for yoga poses and meditations that will maximize the mindfulness path. Leading to the calm and peace that gives you a full life of gratitude and happiness and attracts positive energy. Please check this book out at your local library and let us all in the forum know what you think and are doing to create a more positive universe. Kind Regards Lindy
