I have just returned from my annual 9/11 chant for peace event — A 911 EMERGENCY CALL FOR PEACE. For seven years, this day has been used as a call to war. I want to reverse that energy and use it as a wake up call, to prod us to think, walk, talk, act for peace. Our ceremony was moving and sweet. A friend and I went out tonight to a local rose garden to wander among the blooms and just enjoy the evening. It was very overcast at 6:30 PM but the gray sky seemed to heighten the colors of the roses. The blooms and leaves were laced with raindrops that had not evaporated because of the high humidity.
