The adventures of my days have called me to be true of heart stretching to be balanced in word and action knowing within that humans are the connection between earth and heaven. Being that link energizes me to go deeper always developing an eye and ear for the miracles that make up each moment. Quiet reflection and stillness fire my soul.

A quick "hello". My garden is finally getting a long slow rain--very much needed. As do I.

I hope you've had more of the needed rain.  We had quite a bit this summer, and have a bumper crop of mosquitoes!

Sorry to be so late in replying - I was up north for 8 days, got back yesterday!  Hope all is well

Hello, Kay, I am happy to hear you got the refreshing rain...we have had downpours just about every day this summer! I wish IU could share that with people who are partched!

I hope to catch up before I leave Sunday for Pyramid Lake...

Peace,  claudia

Hi, Dear Kay11,

So true. There is quiet here, there is joy  and there is purpose.  As a wise person said: Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.

With joy and light,

Deepak

Have a beautiful day - these are roses from a local park!

Kay,

I got in late from class last night, and added you to my friends.  I have been to your website and am drooling over the shawls.

I am wondering if you would consider custom making me one with my writer's life, my search for authenticity, and my willligness to drip joy in mind.

Let me know if you are interested.  I am already coveting the work of your hands for the work of my life.

Dear Kay,   I am thrilled to see all the beautiful shawls you have designed.  The prayer and meditation shawl is very important to my spiritual practice.  I will be glad to spread a good word for your website to others who engage in spiritual practices involving the "Mantle".   I am a bit of a crochet-hooker..hahaha.    Much Kindness to you,   Lindy

Hello Kay11!

I started a new blog today called Mini Bites: Ideas to Snack On.  The first topic is about an article called: Mandela: His 8 Lessons of Leadership by Richard Stengel.  Please feel free to drop by to read the blog … and enjoy the day!  Mildred Lynn

Thank you, Kay for the comments on my page.  I hope your garden is coming along beautifully, did you get a chance to check into the Wildlife Habitat program?

I certainly can understand working in the garden outside of the heat of the day.  Plus it is a good way to start your day, or wind down at the end of the day.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Welcome from another new soul here.  And thank you for the profile comment.

Having your yard certified as a wildlife habitat is not that difficult, you go to the National Wildlife Federation's web site and there is a questionairre you fill out on line.  As long as you have adequate food, water, shelter and safety you pretty much meet their criteria (i.e. no backyards that are just a lawn and nothing else...no feeders, shrubbery, things like that).  My backyard is a jungle this time of year.

As far as cameras, I presently have to Olympus, one point-and-shoot with plenty of settings and one DSLR with 2 lenses and hopefully more if I can afford them.  There are a lot of excellent cameras (digital) out there that are reasonable.  The practice is the key.

I am happy to meet you!

-Claudia
