I am at the moment doing a lot of sewing and trying to be creative I love reading and learning. One of my heart projects at the moment is to find my spiritual path once again, after the loss of my mother. To re-connect with my higher purpose. (Slightly removed recently) I love good music, something that speaks to me, this can be true in any area.

I am a qualified counsellor and have a private practice. I like to connect with others on a deeper level. My training included the transpersonal (Spiritual)as well as other areas of psychology. I enjoy this work and feel it is my purpose. I also like to be seen an a individual apart from my work, with human failings like others. I am creative and love colours and making things. Fabrics and ideas. The type of counselling that I trained in is called Psychosynthesis. http://www.psychosynthesis.edu/ My profile picture is the Psychosynthesis Egg (For the time being until I find a good picture of myself.) This portrays the chakras, also indicates the lower unconscious, middle unconscious and consciousness and higher unconscious. The personality "I" at the centre being connected to the Higher "Self" at the top.

World farming and better care of animals. Personal development. Better care of children.

Inspirational, Personal development, Spiritual,Theoretical and fiction.

Soul, R&B, Classical, and anything that speaks to me.

The Green Mile, Robyn Willams films. Old classics. Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, James Stewart films and Judy Garland. Lots more that I cannot think of.

I believe I have to keep searching and learning, it is my souls purpose.

"Those that danced were thought to be quite insane by those that could not hear the music." By Angela Monet

I live in England in a county called Surrey. I am married and have 3 grown children, 2 sons and a daughteer whom I love with all my heart. I am quite introverted, most of the time, but have moments of extroversion. I am in the middle part of my life. The time when I need to find myself again, having brought up a family. My husband is solid and my steadying influence. We are very different, but continue to grow.

To continually learn more about myself, and in doing so, learn more about others. To nourish myself and others. Developing my spirituality, perhaps getting a balance.

Connection, raising awareness of myself and others. Overcoming obstacles.

Dear Gilly,   It is so sad to hear about your friends passing away into the next life.   I am not sure how you feel about talking or discussing afterlife issues.  I am very open to such a discussion.   Please find comfort in those memories between you and your friend.   Kindest Regards, Lindy

Hi Jamie,

Salisbury used to be a place we went to quite a lot when we were first married. I love the little shops there and the catherdral. I used to go to a book shop there that sold really old books quite cheaply. I also spent a summer school at Bath University when I was studying many years ago. It is a beautiful place.

Greetings, Gilly.

Thank you for the invitation to your group; I'll take a look. I spent a month or so in England during the first half of 2007, in and around Bath, and then North of London (Harlington), and enjoyed it very much (particularly Bath, Salisbury, etc.).

I hope all's well in your corner of the world!

Joyful Blessings,

Jamie

Hi Gilly, Thanks for the comment. Nice to read a message. Its the afternoon. After reading your profile it seems to me we  have one thing in common. We are at the age where our children are getting older. I am definitely at the stage of rediscovering myself after 23 years! Which has been kind of fun with the odd feeling of getting older mixed with the  grief of empty nesting. One things that has  been happening is the reconnection with my husband  on a more one to one level which has been like anew adventure for both of us. This process has been evolving much more since his heart attack in January and more recently since our son has gone on his trip to Costa Rica. I'm finding that our stress level is definitely lower and we are enjoying each others company much more. We can be ourselves quietly like we used to. Like both of us reading a book without having to say a word. Except now we're both wearing reading glasses. It's been really sweet. Our love is at a deeper level. We're best friends. He is definitely my calm. I am the energy ball that spins in the lower left hand of this little screen sometimes. When my daughter came home from S. Africa to help out while Dad recovered, she introduced me to the practice of meditation, and the book of Tao. I was pretty intense during that period. I had my husband home 4 days after open heart, 2 feet of snow on the ground, 3 little doggies, 2 indoor cats, I'm a nurse. You can only imagine. Every night my daughter would light the candles, incense, get her beads, I'd get mine that we'de made together and we'd meditate. Still do by myself now. I just love my daughter. That was her way of taking care of me.

Hi Gilly, First of all I love your Psychosynthesis Egg. I think it is beautiful. I chose the yoga pose because it looked like it represented this strong firm stance on the beach where I would love to be right now. Plus I have been doing alot of Pilotis and swimming here lately trying to get really strong. Trust me I don't look anything like that picture, I'm also in the process of looking for a good picture of myself. Presently here in the Southwest USA it is 0130, and I am pushing it way past my bedtime, but I thought I would drop you a comment before I went to bed. Looking forward to chatting somemore. Maria.

Hi Gilly, thank you for visiting my website.  I have a cat too, but he isn't very affectionate.  He is the king of the yard and even the dogs acknowledge his superiority.  I just love his independence and funny ways.  I will post a picture of him soon.  He and Lily have the same colorings.

Well, I'm glad you're feeling better.  I go through spurts too. Sometimes I have to hibernate and sometimes I just can't wait to bust out.  I'm a Virgo, but my mom, my eldest daughter and my brother are all Geminis, LOL, so I hear you!

When I asked about contact with your mom, I was wondering about dreams, smells, little signs.  It will happen.  My eldest daughter has a baby due in a few months and my Grandpa Roy came to her in a dream the other night (she never met him, he crossed when I was 5).  She said he was standing by a little ancestral alter I made for my grandparents and he told her that he was coming back as Adrian (her baby boy-to-be).  By all accounts he was an amazing man and it would be good to have him in this world again.  I hope you had a wonderful birthday and got lots of lovin'.

Hi Paint-Witch,

Thank you for your lovely reply. While I was writing that I was introvert, there was a part of me that said "No you're not." Being a Gemini, I guess there are two sides to me. I have an intense serious side and a crazy fun loving and creative side. So I guess I am a bit of both. Hubby is a Scorpio and much more attached to the ground. My Sons are 28yrs (Robert) 26yrs (John) and 25yrs (Alison). It's interesting that you asked if my mother had made contact yet? I spent my Birthday evening at a well known psychic and medium evening and although there were many authentic connections, there were none for me. I am happy though and my spirituality feels as if it is strengthening again.

Hi Gilly - Your profile is fascinating.  I wonder if you are introverted because you spend so much time dealing intensely with your clients.  I'm sorry to hear about your mom.   Have you had any signs from her yet?  After reading about you, I see that we have many more things in common than our love of fairies.  I had to chuckle when I read your  "About Me" section - I can relate to it all so well.

Hello Victoria,

I am fairly new here, but I am so pleased to have found this site. I have read your website and find your books enspiring. In fact I recently ordered "Love yourself Thin." I have a weight problem and have looked into the psychological reasons why. But I am also hoping to gain inspiration from your book.

Kind regards
Gillian.

Hi, Gilly -- Thanks for your comment. I appreciate that you went to my site and that you order Love Yourself Thin. It is being revised and updated to be republished next year by Lantern Books. In the meantime, you may get a lot out of Fit from Within. It's short, how-to essays that really get to the heart of the eating thing (in my humble opinion). Bless you on your journey. May you be happy and find miracles every day. Victoria
